Mark and Sarah Brown

 

We are Career Missionaries with the Assemblies of God, USA and Associate Missionaries with Australian Christian Churches, Australia.

 

Mark: Born and rasied in Santa Cruz, CA. I grew up in a Filipino Church (Grace Temple AG) in Watsonville, CA. It was there during my youth where God began to give me a heart fo the people of the Philippines.  I graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo in 2003. It was there when God had impressed on my heart about missions. During my prayer for Asia Pacific and the Philippines, I was asking God why there are still so many who don't yet know him. I felt the Holy Spirit say to me, "Is it that I haven't called people to go or is it becasue they haven't gone?" In 2004 I became a missionary with AG World Missions, USA and arrived in the Philippines January, 2006. 

Sarah: I was born in Sydney, Australia.  I grew up in Hillsong Church and was part of the worship team that sang with Dals Czech, the author of "shout to the Lord." Whilst working for a Christian charity organization I came to the Philippines as part of their team for a few weeks.  Before I got on the plane to return to Australia, I felt something, and I did a double take. Shortly after I had just bought my first ca and was driving to church. I asked God, "Do you want me to sell my car and go back to the Philippines?". Whence I had come into the church, I sat down and the pastor said, "Open your Bibles to Mark 10:21" and it says: "Go, sell your possessions and give to the poor." In 2005 I became a missionary with Australian Christian Churches, Inc. and arrived in Manila January of 2006.

 

Together: It was in 2008 when we both met at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary whilst taking a 6 week course for missionaries. We began to courtship for a year and got married in 2009. We spent the next year in itineration and returned to the Philippines in 2010.  We have two kids who both love chocolate and mango shakes.
